Know Before You Go

Jefferson Health and the Abington Health Foundation Women’s Board value safety above all! We are excited to continue our June Fete Fair tradition, which has entertained this community for over 110 years and benefits Jefferson Abington and Lansdale Hospitals. 

While the June Fete has never received any threats, our June Fete Committee feels that in today’s times, we need to be prepared. We have collaborated with our community partners in order to provide a safe, family-friendly event for all to enjoy. The following guidelines will be in place for your safety.  Can’t wait to see you and your family on the fairgrounds!

• The June Fete Fairgrounds will be under 24-hour surveillance.
• All visitors will pass through a security screening system and all bags are subject to inspection.
• Parents are encouraged to accompany their children 18 and under starting at 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings.
• First-Aid and Emergency Medical Services will be on the premises during all fair hours.
• All visitors will be hand-stamped upon entry which will allow for re-entry the same day.
• In the case of severe weather including high winds and lightning, please evacuate to your cars. The hand stamp will allow for re-entry once inclement weather has passed.
• No weapons or items deemed dangerous will be permitted on the fairgrounds.
• Drones and any other unmanned and remote-controlled aircraft systems are prohibited.
• By entering our event and by your presence there, you consent to be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded for use in any and all media in perpetuity in connection with the fair.

Drop-off/Pick-up Policy: If parents choose to drop-off/pick-up their children, please use the
J Gate entrance off Cathedral Road for their safety. At pick-up, please ensure children are at the designated location prior to your vehicle entering J Gate, as standing vehicles will prohibit traffic flow and cause safety concerns. Security will not allow parents to park or stand along the J Gate road. All vehicles must continue up the hill and exit the fairgrounds by turning left at G Gate onto Huntingdon Road.

Ride Share Drop-off/Pick-up Policy: If you choose to use ride share services, please instruct them to use the J Gate entrance off Cathedral Road. You must be at the designated pick-up location inside the J Gate before the driver enters the fairgrounds. Standing vehicles will prohibit traffic flow and cause safety concerns. Security will not allow uber drivers to park or stand along the J Gate road. All drivers must continue up the hill and exit the fairgrounds by turning left at G Gate onto Huntingdon Road.
